Nearly There

Well, it's been a long and challenging road; almost a year in the making, but we are almost there. The store construction is about 90% done,  we have a backlog of products to enter into inventory that is into the 100's, and the security-system and point-of-sale terminals and other IT goodies are going in in the next couple weeks. Product labeling and arrangement, final touches, and a week of dry-runs will just about do it. No FFL yet, but we are close.

I've always heard that it's difficult to imagine how much time and effort it takes to start a small-business, especially in California. Well, that's no lie. It's a huge risk as well, especially in this economy. It all started late 2011 when three cunning individuals got together and began imagining ways to help further the freedom, liberty and self-sufficiency cause. To make the world a better place for ourselves and other patriotic Americans. We've had a lot of help along the way, and I'd like to take a moment to personally thank those who gave of themselves to bring this plan to fruition.

We don't expect to make a living from this; it was never about the money. That might sound hard to believe, but I guess you'd have to know the people involved to understand that. Secretly, maybe we all dreamed of having a store full of gear to learn about and test in the field. Yes, we spend a lot of time in the field and love new gear, although skills and knowledge always take precedent. Whatever the motivations, we are finally nearly there: The only store in the Sacramento area where you can physically get your hands on bullets, beans, bandages and more. There will be some surprises. That's all I can say, for now.

In closing, I also want to thank the families of those who sacrificed time to make this happen. In some cases it was probably good to have us out of the house, but in others I know the extra burden it caused...emotionally, physically, and financially. We could not have done this without all the help and support we've received.
